You woulda thought that on my mission I would have learned not to procrastinate. tis not so. this may be a little short--
Since I talked to you last I have gone to fukuoka and back twice! once for the Aoyagi tour (he is in the seventy) and once for the trainers training meeting. Thats right! Im gonna have a baby!! kinda. she is transfer 2 now
Transfer calls came...annnnnnnnd--- im staying in Nagasaki! I will be with Cook Shimai! She is from St.George, loves to rock climb, annnnnd she is pretty cool! we actually lived together- and her companion is going to be staying but getting a new companion. Really weird, but super cool!
This week yuu chan is our miracle. We taught her the plan of salvation, and she was so excited. She just kept saying how excited she feels haha. It was so sweet. Her baptismal date is coming up quicker than I thought! march 22nd isnt that far away! We are going to be trying to meet her mom this week, and im just praying it goes well!
last night the Matono couple (one of the sweetest little couples ever) invited us over for dinner and took us to the top of Inasayama. It was gorgeous. Also- Matono Shimai gave cullison shimai and I each a dress that she had worn when she was our age. We tried them on last night- magically the fit. I will send pictures, but basically- they are prime. And there isnt anybody who can stop me from wearing it on sunday haha. She is the cutest.
Here is a story I just remembered. So...this week the sister training leaders came to dendo with us, and so I was with Higashi Shimai ---aka my favorite nihonjin in the world-- anyways, we went to go visit this lady who is really timid and lonely. She comes to church, she is just really quiet and tiny. So we are mogiing a lesson with her, and she tells us that she hasnt actually ever prayed to know if the book of mormon is true (she has been a member for about 15 years) and so we commit her to doing it and stuff, leave, and the next morning we get a call. It was her! she was calling because she said right when we left- her eye started hurting, and she thinks its because she lied to us. She said she has prayed about the book of mormon, just not with sincereity and so she never got her answer. hahaha anyways, poor little old lady- we had to reassure her that God wasnt punishing her for lying to the missionaries, nor did we put a curse on her when we left. It was so sad. A kawaiiso kinda situation. But yeah- saw her at church. She has an EYEPATCH over her eye, and long story short- She is the most kawaiiso person I know and when I saw her I felt horrible and yet at the same time I couldnt stop laughing. Shes a cutie haha. We are working with her!
The branch is amazing! Getting to know the members more and more- and all 8 of us missionaries in the branch are working hard to get them to try to be a ward!
I heard about the rain in california- Miracles happen all the time! Food for thought-
-sometimes courage is a little voice at the end of the day that says ill try again tomorrow--
--never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved--
--To live greatly we must develop the capacity to face trouble with courage, dissapointment with cheerfulness, and triumph with humility--
(all by President Monson)
annnnd 3 Nephi 18:31. I know my sheep, and they are numbered.
no more time but also think about how AMAZING and powerful the promise is that is we always remember Christ, we will always have his Spirit with us.
Dah. I love the Book of Mormon with all my heart, might, mind, and souuuuul.
Have a great week! Love you more than the stars love the moon :)
