We get to watch conference this weekend, and my soul is just aching for it.
I went to the saddest house I have ever seen this week- we technically aren't allowed to go in. It is a lady in the branch who refuses to move because her `house` is located right next to the water. It is so dangerous though. She has a bunch of mold growing everywhere, a couple blankets because the floor doesn't exist, a nice little rat that comes to visit every once in a while, nothing but a few sticks and a tarp for a roof, and walls that look like they have been under the ocean for a few hundred years. We went to her house intending to stand outside (that's what the missionaries always do, but this is the first time I had visited her house). So we get there, and she had gotten us lunch, and told us we needed to eat it inside. With our limited Japanese we tried to tell her we would love to be able to look at the ocean while we talk, but she would have none of it. So in we went! I cannot believe she lives like that. She CHOOSES to, that's the thing. She has got to have the strongest immune system out of anyone else in the branch though. So you gotta give her that!
People have been progressing, Yuu chan came back into our life. I love her to death. She is a sweetheart, and the fastest way to her heart is food. I kid you not. We text her about food, and man we can expect a response in under 2 minutes.
