...AND IT WAS SUGAR!!!

Hello hello family!

So. We had a lesson with Christina and Karan this week. It was very interesting...but let me tell you about it! So we had 3 appointments on tuesday, and every one of them cancelled on us. Including Christina and Karan. We had been so excited for the lesson, and had been praying so hard for them that we couldnt accept that they cancelled. So we called them and they didnt pick up. So me and Sister Flake were like "lets just go anyways!!! I know we will run into them before they have work!" (cause thats the excuse they gave us). and sooo. we make the 45 minute bike ride just riding as fast as we could, fueled by adrenaline haha. We get there- they both open the door and well---they werent keeping the word of wisdom. So. They werent making much sense- we told them we just wanted to stop by before they went to work and tell them that we loved them! and they continued to act weird. and then bascially shut the door in our face. so we went back out to our bikes, and I felt so sad for them. we just stood there for a while. I felt like I should be mad at them, but I wasnt. I felt like I should feel like I failed or something, but I didnt. and so it was really weird just standing there. then we get a phone call- it was Karan. He was all like "hey! What are you doing right now? want to go to dinner with us?" so we did haha. We all went out to dinner. Long story short- we talked about the word of wisdom, and Karan has no faith in himself. Christina set a baptismal date, but she says she is not getting baptized without Karan- and if she was going to do that she would have gotten baptized a year ago. it is so sad to see the effects that smoking and drinking have on people. I wont go into any more detail cause I probably shouldnt--- but long story short, karan is trying to get better, and to help him feel our support....Flake Shimai and I have given up sugar!!!!!! crazy I know, but that is what was decided. We have been going strong! dont worry, its not for the rest of our lives, just while we are in fukuoka/ working with them. So. It has been a week. And man! We have been doing it!

We were on our biked coming home from christina and karan`s and there was this man giving out tons of free flowers. So he just let us pick all the flowers we wanted, and talking to us the whole time. it was SO sweet. I think I sent a picture...

Sister Flake and I have been having little troubles with bikes- and we have had to ask the elders for tools a couple different times. So last p-day we woke up and decided to be eagle scouts!!! So we went straight to daiso and made ourselves the cutest little tool kits you ever did see. now we are always prepared- and we have used them a billion times this week. I cant explain how amazing it feels to be able to stand in the pouring rain and install a bike basket with our handy dandy tools. We were grinning ear to ear the whole time hahahaha

So this is a funny story-- on of the APs (assistants to the mission president) calls us up because he wants to know how to get to krispy kreme. so obviously we were the ones to call haha anyways. so he calls, we give him directions, and he was like "okay thanks! aishiteimasu! (I love you)" and so naturally I was like "aishite---uhh bubye!!" hahaha anyways, we see him later- the poor elder haha he said he was in a car full of elders when he accidentally said that, and they all just went silent, looked at him, and shook their heads hahaha so funny. anyways. poor kid. now whenever we end a call with other missionaries we just say "elder carpenter loves you!!!" hahaha. most people dont get it. but we still think its hilarious.

Darn it. I just thought of something I NEEDED to say really quick and th oh yes!!!! for halloween I was RAIN! get it? cause everyone here says my name like rain? hahaha it was funny. I thought it was hilarious. Sister Flake was a snowflake hahahaha it was perfect hahaha

by the way--- we saw Tiger Lilly in the daylight for the first time yesterday. AND I planted an apple tree. we shall see what happens in the next like 10 years.

Well! I love you all very very very much! Yukari is having surgery on Halloween! and she will be there for a couple weeks. Hope all is well!!

OH YES!!! News flash! I have forgotten to tell you all. Remember that awful gross nasty liquified ash tray tea that I told you all about in the beginning. Well... I love it now and drink it like water. Its delicious. You will all be trying it in about a year or so.

Love you all to death! Have a supa dupa halloween!!! CANT WAIT TO SEE PICTURES!!! What are henry, Capri, and kaiden being?!?!? please send me a billion pictures!

I love each and every one of you!

Be happy and be safe :)
Looooooooooove forever and ever,
Lane Shimai :))

We got matching socks at diaso!

When The World Starts to Wonder

Hm.

I am seeing a growing number of men in their early 40s with tinted green and purple hair. I have come to the conclusion that this was not intentional, and there is in fact a growing epidemic of faulty hair dye. Those poor middle aged men.

I have had this dilemma, about how much to tell people in the email about the investigators I am working with. I never know how much is too much, so I dont write much, but I have decided I can write more than I have been- because even though they are few- they are my life!!

So Christina and Karan are the Nepalese couple who I am completely in love with. They have been investigator for the past year and a half, and believe absolutely everything. They are so funny, and we have so much fun with them. This week, we committed them to giving up coffee, and I think they got all caught up in how excited me and sister flake were that they agreed hahaha. We took their coffee home, and put it on our shelf so that Higashi Shimai (shes Japanese) would think that we didnt know it was coffee. Hahaha sometimes I am such a brat....sometimes I just need to laugh hahaha anyways. So we called Christina this week and asked her how the no coffee thing was going- here is how it went down-
"HEY!!! Soooo....how is life without coffee?"
"uhhhh...fine..."
"Have you drinkin any??"
"No...you guys took it away from me...so I look on my shelf and I have no coffee..."
Doesn't sound all that funny, but it was hilarious at the time. In my own mind I am just like hahah yeah we will take your coffee, your alcohol, yo cigarettes....but anyways. We are working with them and I am in love! They told us last time they really want to be baptized, but they feel like its not possible for them to give up all these things. Dont you fret though, I know they will, because I have the energy and faith for both of them combined haha. Sister Flake and I decided that we want to show them we are doing this with them, so in our lesson tomorrow we are going to tell them they can choose something for us to give up too. I wouldn't be good with anything. I am just praying that sugar doesn't come to their mind...

Alright- now Yukari. She is an angel, and she loves the missionaries, and she absolutely adores church. She has a lot of faith, and it has been amazing seeing her testimony of Jesus Christ grow. Before we started teaching her, she had just heard of Him and thought he was some random historical character. But now she knows more, and feels more. We love her to death. Recently, she has been feeling a little off, and so she went to the doctor for a check up and has been there ever since. They don't know how serious her condition is, but next week she is getting a surgery and we hope and pray that it will make everything better. So when she crosses your mind, please pray for Yukari. Pray that she will have energy and courage!

This week Miyuki became a new investigator!!!! Shes the mom, shes got a husband, and they have a nine year old girl and a 3 year old boy. They are a golden family. Not to mention they just moved back from the United States. They lived in Texas and then Los Angeles for 10 years (put together). They speak perfect English :) they love Christians because they have helped them through a lot. They seem like a golden family, and In about two weeks we should be meeting her husband. I can just see this family becoming super strong members of the church. I love them so much! When we visited them, she had her apartment decorated for Halloween---which isn't all that common here, and for that hour- I felt like I was home! It was so so nice.

So- those are the people we are working with right now! :) They are all wonderful.

This week my bike basket finally broke off while I was biking. i have just been waiting for it to happened, and it happened. it was pretty funny. But the ways to deal with it and fix it were pretty ingenious, and provided a lot of entertainment. So I just borrowed tools from the elders and took it all off. Which made me really want to be a super duper eagle-scout like sister and always be prepared---and know everything about bikes (they cant be that complicated) and always have a tool kit with me...so that is my next step! Get excited!! By the time I get back I`ll be like Bob the Builder! but yeah. I got upset at my basket, and told it that I would never have another one like it, but then apparently I am getting an invisible basket from an elder who cant use it cause he junkais and then he is going home! I pray that it will be tougher than the last wimsy one.

BY THE WAY!!!!!! WE ARE GOING TO KRISPY KREME TODAY!!!!!!!! I cant wait.

anyways. One of my new hobbies is making cases for everything.... both bibles, both book of mormons, my hymn book, and now my white handbook. it just makes everything so much more exciting. I am all about the crafts.

For halloween Sister Flake is being a pumpkin...and I still don't know what I am going to be. We shall see. My idea was Laura bush, because I have blonde hair and then I could borrow sister bush`s nametag...and then I realized that people probably wont get it. And I don't even know anything about the lady, so I cant play the part. I am trying to think of other ideas...

Oh my goodness! I almost forgot. Fun moment. One night we were feeling way adventurous, only we didnt even know it! We biked out to this area about an hour and a half away from out apartment to visit 2 less active families. one of them didnt exist. we were looking for 304...there was a 303...then a 305....it was like the Black`s residence-- serious black? How the house is hidden? anyways, it was really funny, so we asked the neighbor about it and he told us about how in Japan 4 is an unlucky number, because 4 is `yon` or it can also be `shi` which means death. Anyways, it was an experience. Then the other one...it was getting progressively windier and rainier-- we were just in our normal clothes mostly cause we love the rain- and then the wind is just really really picking up. like knocking us off our bikes haha it was hilarous. So much fun. and so we finally find this apartment complex, and it has this big wall around it. So what do we do with a wall? We climb over it! Dont worry, it was nighttime so we werent seen. (by anyone but this man who stopped for a second and then just kept walking. We stayed still so I am pretty sure he thought we were gargoyles. Thats what we were going for at least. anyways, so it was pretty much one of the happiest moments just climbing over this wall and fence, and getting to the other side. We then go and knock on the door, this girl answers the door and long story short..it was one of the most awkward encounters I have ever had. She did not want us there, but Japanese people are really nice so they wont usually just come out and say it. When we got to the door she was like "arent you guys cold??" us-"no...its just a little windy hahahaha" her-"uhh....yeah.... there is supposed to be a typhoon...its getting stronger..." and she looked at us like we were crazy. Anyways, all in all it was a really fun experience.

man my hands are cramping up from all this typing! Alright well! Until we meet again I suppose! I still cant get over how awesome conference was. If anyone is ever jsut trying to figure out what to do with their lives- got watch conference. make a party out of it. invite your friends...I dont know. Its just the best thing ever. Also- my companion didnt get to watch the relief society broadcast, and so we got permission to watch it again this week.

I am so spoiled.

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! This week I read the first two articles in the December 2000 ensign- Hinckley and wirthlin, and they were both SO GOOD! Please read them if you have time! Please read them even if you dont have time. they should be on lds.org I believe.

Love you all!
Dont forget to be tenacious! Remember that quote-- Louis Pasteur "my strength lies soley in my tenacity". I just think thats the coolest. Be like Christ! be like Aslan! be like Gandalf! But mostly, be like Christ!!!

have a great week! share the love of the gospel, let everyone around you know they are loved! Even if they are not the most loveable. No matter how people react, Heavenly Father will be so grateful if you try to show love to everyone around you! You will never fail if you are trying to do the right thing!

LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! I know I have said that a million times. but really! Smile lots and be safe, every one of you!

Sincerely,
Lane Shimai!

Hahahaha...Alright, Before I say anything...

OCT. 13, 2013

Hahahaha alright before I say ANYTHING more, I need to clear the air with a couple mistakes that I have realized happened haha. SO. First off- clearly most important- I mentioned harry potter not that long ago, and I think I mentioned the 4th book. Christina, Dad, just know that I am not that dumb hahaha I realize it wasnt the 4th book. GOMEN! Other one---- I frequently get tsunami and typhoon mixed up. Ignore me! Hahahaha goodness. Anyways. now that that is out of the way...

So! I have a new companion now because of transfers!!!!! I miss Sister Roberts so much haha its sad. But I love her! And she is with my MTC companion right now, and I loved her too...so hopefully they are happy together! Right now my companion is Sister FLAKE! And I love her to death. We are both on our 3rd transfer, and neither of us know Japanese very well. Gotta love it! We have already had great Japanese experiences hahaha but luckily, we also both know how to laugh at things we cant control. SO that is good. We definitely know how to laugh....and boy, that is DEFINITELY necessary hahaha.

Funny moment...in our apartment there are two other sisters, an american and a nihonjin. So, yesterday- long story short, they were trying to figure out what was in this suitcase they were trying to send out. So the nihonjin was like "do you know if there are any splays in there?" and the american was getting so frustrated, she was like "WHAT is a SPLAY?!?!" Flake shimai and I burst out laughing hahaha (dont worry, after we walked into another room hahahaha) she was trying to say "spray" but she kept saying "splay". Her english is way good though. Just random little funny things like that happen. it is so good hahaha love it.

Also this week- long story short... Sister Higashi is using my bike, and so I needed to borrow a bike and so did sister flake. So. naturally, we went to the mission home since it is right here in Fukuoka, and we were trying to find bikes to use one night. I grabbed one that appeared alright at first haha and turned out to be quite the adventure! turns out, this bike is broken. Stuck on first gear with no back breaks or lights. It was such a good bike home hahaha flake shimai couldn't stop laughing hahaha if you ever want a laugh, try to bike really fast on first gear. It was fun. So anyways, we went back the next day to get a different bike, and ended up just stealing the APs bikes when they weren't there. We get a call the next morning "...did you take my bike?" (I was scared to death) "uhhh yes! We did. Do you need it back?" them- "no no no, its all good....but my bike is kinda broken. How are you riding it?" haha anyways. this week has been an adventure with bikes, and I am loving it haha. Also- I have been feeling like this- Sisters especially I think have so much protection around them. I swear, bad things never ever happen to the sisters. the elders get hurt all the time though haha. There is a new rule- we cant carry anything on the handlebars because a week or two ago this elder was doing that, crashed, and knocked out ALL his teeth.

Alright! I am a week behind all of you but CONFERENCE WAS SO GOOD!

We got permission from the zone leaders to stay for Priesthood session too. And It was sooooo good!

I came to conference with specific questions for the first time, and they were all answered. I have such a testimony of that! Heavenly Father wants to answer all of your questions, but a question that we don't ask cant be answered!

One thing I have been thinking a lot about-- I am SO extremely lucky that english is my first language. It was such a blessing to be able to listen to the talks given in their original exact words. So lucky. Also because of the Book of Mormon. I am so lucky english is my native language, because that is the language that Joseph Smith translated it into, and dah I feel like I am not explaining myself very well, but I just needed to say that I am so grateful.

One Question that I came to conference with- was how I can be healthier. Not like loose weight healthy, but like wake up and feel energized kinda healthy. and guess what! MY QUESTION WAS ANSWERED PERFECTLY! And I realized that the reason I had this question is because heavenly father really wants me to work on it! I love how in conference there were so many talks that mentioned self-mastery, and I am so excited for this. Just like Russell M. Nelson said- our body is our temple, and we need to take care of it. We need to appreciate it, and take care of it so that we can have the spirit with us! We need to get sleep, meditate, and exercise! And eat well!  Anyways, I am a firm believer in this!

Well. That is it! Remember to follow ALL of the promptings that you received during General Conference! And remember that one talk. (Ulisses Soares)The one that said if you have failed the first time, and then failed the second time, there is no reason why you shouldn't succeed the third time! Just meaning that we have an endless number of chances, and that we should never limit ourselves and say that "we tried, and failed". Keep trying! Heavenly Father gives you endless chances, so use them! Remember President Uchtdorfs quote- "our destiny is not determined by the number of times we fall down, but by the umber of times we rise up" (or something like that). Never give up! Follow through. And be happy while you do it :)

My favorite talks were Elder Hollands talk (which was so powerful), Elder Eyring (sunday morning), Richard J. Maynes, Elder Bednar, and President Monsons (saturday afternoon). Not that that matters hahaha

Alright, I am done! Sorry I dont have much to tell. Please Pray for Yukari, she is our investigator who is not doing well right now at all. She is sick, and she needs prayers. Keep her in your heart!

I love you allll!! with an exclamation mark or exclamation point. whichever one that crazy genki guy said haha

anyways..]
have a great week!

LOVE ALWAYS AND ALWAYS!
Lane Shimai :)

This is our Kitty!!! I dont even like cats, but this cat likes us! She comes by almost every night. We named her. Tiger Lilly. not all that original but it was the first thing that came to mind so it must be destiny. may have fed her...but I am admitting to nothing. dont worry we dont let her in our house. But. We love her :)

Inline image 2
ELDER KONNO and Elder Searle! Pretty much, they are like little kids, and they are companions, and I cant really describe it, but Elder Konno has the highest little voice in the whole world. It just melts your soul. When you are having a bad day, just imagine this little nihonjin on your shoulder speaking to you in japanese. He frequently wears penguin ties. So fitting.

I am going to try to send a picture of me and sister flake right now- we gotta take one really quick then we shall send it! Love you all! Have a great week!

Why are the Black Thunders Always Gone...

Toooooooday there is supposed to be a huge Tsunami!! We are soooo excited :) Rain rain rain...never go away!!

Also-- We are behind here. They watch conference a week late- which means I cant see it until next weekend. I AM SO EXCITED! We got to watch the relief society meeting last saturday, and I nearly cried the whole time because I was just so excited to hear someone else speaking english hahahaha oh goodness. And President Monson is just the cutest little thing I ever did see. Speaking of President Monson, I saw a wedding picture of his yesterday. Guess who wore a BOWTIE to their WEDDING?!?! Yes! He did! And I respect him all the more for it!

I left my little notes I made at home.... thats alright. Scattered emails and happy emails.

This week we went to the Bishops house to roleplay a lesson so that she could help us with our Japanese, and I was trying to tell her that she could feel Heavenly Fathers love, but instead I said 'I feel your love'. She just burst out laughing hahaha

So a week or two ago our airconditioning had a little fit, and started spurting out ice cubes and mold. It was so funny. Almost like christmas. But anyways, that made it so I needed to change where my futon was. So the futons were in a little L shape, with my head close to Roberts shimai. She talks in her sleep right? freaks me out everytime but it is so funny hahaha so she was angry or something, so in the middle of the night I woke up to her slapping my face, and mumbling something about cat steaks. hahahaha oh my goodness I love her to death hahaha life is always so interesting. Sad....because we already know we arent going to be together this transfer, but we havent gotten our transfer calls yet. They are supposed to come sometime in the next hour! We shall see what happens! so exciting! The good thing is, is that Sister Roberts is only one transfer ahead of me, which means we will be on our missions for nearly the same time, so we will always be together! Which is awesome.

Oh. So.... during eikaiwa (english class) I was talking with this group of old ladies, and there is this one adorable old lady who can speak english super well. Her name is KIM!!! so funny. Probably Kimber time traveling. Anyways. long story short, we got invited to this exclusive old lady tatting club (alright it isnt all that exclusive haha but still). I have been so excited to go. Finally last night we went. And man I had the time of my life. Have you ever heard of tatting? it is so cool. Look it up. Roberts and I decided that we would be tatting and catting for the rest of our lives together (only I dont like cats, but thats besides the point). I shall make a club at byu. Tatting for Life...I can just see it now...

So! I found the quote I had been looking for! It is in the Talk "Tongue of Angels" by Holland (which I recommend ALL of you read) and it goes something like--"there is never anything so miserable that complaining about it cant make it worse"---wow. I really butchered that. BUT the point is, read the talk, and then you will be able to figure out which quote I was trying to write haha. It is such a good one.

That may have seemed like a random photo insert... and it is. But I couldn't figure out a smooth transition. But---these, my friends---are the men who feed me delicious Nepalese
food all the time. The place is called Jyoti--anyways. basically they are all my favorite, and I asked for their picture. And they all lined up perfectly, haha I love it! the one on the near left has the happiest smile in the world, but every time I would say `hai` (because when they take picture here they go "ichi, ni, san...hai!) he would pull this face. So disappointing. but just try to imagine it, and then let it brighten your day haha

Take note of the little old man. I got a story about him. We went and tried to visit a less active woman, but she wasnt home. her son was home though (blue shirt) and he loves the missionaries, so we decided to play soccer until she got home. So we were all playing soccer and this old man comes out to watch us. So I invited him to play with us and he is all like "no no no i am too old" and Im like yeah whatever...no such thing. So he leaves (I wasnt sure if I offended him or not). BUT he comes back out ten minutes later and has basketball shorts on. It was so cute haahaha so we would kick the bal to him everyonce in a whole. Then he left again, and comes back 20 minutes later with his wife! Who was carrying a tray of little tea cups for all of us. It was coffee haha oops! I was trying to figure out how to just slyly water the plants with the coffee instead of drinking them, but the elders had a smarter idea. they were like "oh we are so sorry! we dont drink coffee" and apologized a million times. So after a whole she was like alright alright....what about juice? And we were like yeah! We love juice! so she comes back 10 minutes later....with green tea hahaha I was just cringing, and the elders once again told her that we couldnt actually drink green tea haha. oh man....it was so funny. But the lady was really understanding, and they both talked to us for a while. The old guy was talking to us, and he kept going around in circles. Saying that he was 81 years old (and then he would start square dancing) and then he would say it again (kind like a "can you believe I am 81 but I can dance so well?") he tried to dance with us but I kinda just didnt dance casue we arent allowed and asked him if his wife danced. He said she could but she isnt very good at it hahahaha. Anyways. He was a cute. the four things he kept saying was he was 81 years old, he has climbed mt. fujii 4 times, he likes tennis, and he knows how to dance. So when we were leaving I was like "wait...how old are you???" hahaha he happily told me again. I love that old man. And he loves us. It was so much fun.

Alright. Transfer calls have not come! oh well. next week I will either be emailing at the same place or some other random place. We shall see! I will get to tell you all about my new companion! Whomever that may be.

Well, I love you all! Have a great week! Smile lots and spread the love of the gospel!

Dont ever forget that Heavenly Father loves you, and that you are never ever ever alone!

The rain is supposed to start soon. I cant wait.

Love you all :) have a great week!

Sincerely,,,,,,

Lane Shimai!!

First off...

First off....
HAPPY BAPTISM HENRY!!!!! AND Happy Birthday :)
JHAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMBER THIS WEEK!!!! I just saw a picture of you for homecoming....my GOODNESS you are adorable! That dress is Gorgeous and you are absolutely drop dead. You are the cutest. Boys boys boys...stay away! She is waiting for me!
Alsoooooo Happy Birthday Luke!!!!! and Happy happy happy HAPPY anniversary Mckenna and Nathan!!! I love you all so much!

Not as much time today since the printer isnt working so I was reading all the emails haha daijyobu!

Some really exciting news--- a member gave us this book about Japanese culture and stuff like that...little phrases that will come in handy and stuff- and we found out lots of cool stuff we hadnt realized before! Liiiike---our toilet (it had a lid that opens automatically when you stand in front of it, and a heated seat) allllso has a deodorizer. That answers my 2 transfer long question of why the bathroom always smells a certain way. Anyways. I was so excited to know about all that!

So Roberts Shimai and I had a miracle afternoon the other day. I was incharge of navigating for the day (figures) and long story short, we trekked through the mountains of this one area to get to this house of a less active. Okay it was really just one big hill. So, we got to the top, after riding our bikes up these stairs, and nobody answers their door. Roberts shimai looks down at her bike for a second- and a bird had just barely pooped on her seat hahahha anyways- So we figure we must be there for some reason- and decide to go talk to the nice little old lady next door. So she opens her door and she is in the middle of eating- and she just talks and talks and talks and laughs and talks and talks. It was adorable. We told her to come to our english class and she just started laughing and then says goodbye, come back anytime we want, and shuts the door hahaha. Love it. as we were getting ready to leave some lady gets out of her car and we start talking to her, then she goes chottomatte! (one second!) runs to her car, and gets out this HUGE CAT. HUUUUUUGE and I freaked out- 'Shashin wa daijyobu desu ka?!?' and she is so pleased. She throws this cat into my arms and we take pictures hahaha it was so fun. Yeah. so then we were at the top of this mountain, and we needed to go to another appointment but we didn't know where we were. So. We just took random streets and rode down it. We get to this corner- and there are the other sisters from fukuoka hahaha and it turns out we were exactly where we needed to be! Then we go to this house for the appointment, and they were so friendly and open and they are letting us come back again! basically, it was so much fun hahaha oh. best part is- is that that morning wasn't the greatest morning, and I had been praying the night before that something funny would happen the next day. And then about 5 billion funny things happened, and I was like MAN Heavenly Father LOVES me! He hears my prayers, AND he has the BEST sense of humor.

Roberts Shimai`s music is awesome. Bascailly, this transfer we have been listening to the Mary Poppins soundtrack, Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, and Chitty Chitty Bang bang. And man! they just all make me so happy!!!! I am in love with the song Miracle of Miracles from Fiddler on the roof, and kimmy it made me think of you hahaha future husband? I think so. So, if anyone is ever down, listen to those soundtracks. they are awesome!!! And I always wake up with the song `you two` from chitty Chitty bang bang stuck in my head. Its wonderful!

Alright- so I always keep some ib profen in my bag I take everywhere right? I also keep a book of mormon in that part of my bag cause it fits perfectly! The other week we were junkai-ing (whatever they are called in english---splitting up and going with a different companion for the day?) anyways- the sister training leader was like `oh hey! We need a book of mormon- Lane shimai do you have an extra` me---`Boy do I ever!` pull it out....it is covered in crushed up pills. My Book of Mormon was COVERED in DRUGS! The pills had been crushed to powder. She looked at me as I took it out, and she was like `uhhh....whats that? Actually...you know I think we are okay. I think I have enough...` possibly one of the best moments haha anyways. Just so everyone knows I take much better care of the Book of Mormons I carry around now!

This morning I was reading "You matter to Him" by President Uchtdorf, and I realized that it is a perfect talk for explaining how we view out relationship with Heavenly Father! So if anyone ever has a question as to how we view God and out relationship with Him, or wants to be reminded- that is a great talk!! Just look it up on LDS.org and read it!

A quote a love from Elder Eyring--- he is talking about trusting in God`s timing--- and it says "His time table should be soon enough for us since we know that He wants only what is best".

Out of time! Have to go! I love you all!!! be safe and supa dupa happy!!!! Smiles lots and lots :) have a great week!

loooooooooveeeee forever,
Lane Shimai

ps! next week is transfers, so my p-day will be on tuesday (monday for you). Lets see if I stay in the big city or go to a little grandma town!!!  ;)
